The general admission tickets include all items in the gym – drawbots with the Tool Library, Hatch coding interactive, light saber making, a Playground hack to envision the kinder Playground.

BumbleBee WorkshopBumblebee Pencil: Making Noise by Drawing Circuits Workshop Ticket (Grades 3+) $20

1pm – 2pm, April 9, in Classroom 2: A pencil with a built-in speaker that changes pitch based on resistance? Kids will build this unique musical device then learn how they ‘map’ different electrical devices to resistance in a circuit, creating sound while investigating the difference between conductors and insulators. Learn how to turn hand-drawn images like a piano into working instruments that play songs – or use your body as a real electric circuit. Kids will take away the pencil for more fun at home. Max 30 participants. Waitlist available.

Dash & Dot WorkshopDash & Dot Robotics Workshop Ticket (Grades JK-2) $10

11am – 12pm, April 9, in Classroom 2: Control Dash & Dot to move, light up, make sounds, and interact with each other. This dynamic duo can do anything you set your mind to. Dash is a real robot, charged and ready to play. Responding to voice, navigating objects, dancing, and singing, Dash is the robot you always dreamed of having. Use Wonder, Blockly, and other apps to create new behaviors for Dash — doing more with robotics than ever possible.


lego workshopMini Master Builders Level 1: LEGO for Little Ones Workshop Ticket (Grades JK-1) $5

11am-12pm in Classroom 4: Join the Toronto LEGO User Group (TorLUG) for a whirlwind hour of LEGO! Level 1 is designed for Little Ones in grades JK-1. Learn more about the history of the little bricks, take on a building challenge, and share your creation. Participants will get a close up view of unique TorLUG creations they bring along. Take homes include a photo of the build and maybe a little surprise.

wooden helicopter workshopWoodworking: Build a Working Helicopter Workshop Ticket (Grades 2+) $20

12:30pm – 2pm, April 9, in Classroom 3: Grades 2-5: A great project for the budding engineer! Ucandoit, an experienced team that shares their love of woodworking with youth, will walk kids through the assembly of this all wood helicopter with working rotor. Take it home and show off your new maker talent. 90 minutes.


wooden race carWoodworking: Build a Race Car Workshop Ticket (Grades JK-3) $20

11am-12:30pm, April 9, in Classroom 3: Never too small to build, this maker workshop is designed for little hands. Kids will build a working, all wooden car from a pre-set kit designed by Ucandoit, an experienced team that shares their love of woodworking with youth. Learn the basics of assembly and take the finished car home to show off your new maker talent. 90 minutes. **Parents recommended for JK-SK.

weavingWee Weaving Workshop Ticket (All Ages) $5

11am – 12pm, April 9, in Classroom 1: Come and create! Learn to build your own loom out of everyday materials and then weave a unique piece of your own to take home.
